Point of view

I've been loitering in the photographic sections for far too long, decided I'd take a look at some more 'traditional' art.
Thought I'd pick out three utterly different approaches to what are is essentially the same thing, a head and shoulders shot.

Doin' it for the kids

Having a couple of kids myself I have recently grown to appreciate exactly how utterly amazing children are, until you start hanging around with them again you tend forget how amazingly untainted life as a kid can be. The wide eyed optimism, the unquenchable excitement and the riotous imagination.
While not all of this can necessarily be captured on camera it's amazing to see how much personality and emotion can be squeezed into a head and shoulders shot.

Randoms I

No theme today just three photos that jumped off the screen at me over the last couple of days.
These three I really love, It's so easy to trawl through dA and 'favourite' lots of nice pictures and photos, theres so much good stuff on there, but there are some that really stand out head and shoulders above the rest and these (for me) are three of them.
As I've said before, it's difficult to know what draws you into a photo, what gives it personal resonance to the viewer. A good photo is so much more than just a true representaion of what is in front of the lens (I do that every day at work capturing tools for a website, it's dull), it is, surely, about creating something that makes peoples brains go warm, makes their eyes widen slightly, makes the corners of thier mouth twitch, maybe even making something downstairs twitch.
